School Structure

content-kindyslippersChrysalis School for Rudolf Steiner Education (Ltd) is an independent, co educational, non denominational Steiner School (limited by guarantee).

The Board of Directors is the body legally responsible for the school. The good governance of the School is one of the Board’s primary tasks. Many of operational and educational functions of running the School have been delegated to the Business Manager, and the Education Manager. The Board has an Annual General Meeting at which new members are elected to serve the company. Members are elected to the Board by the members of the Association. The Board meets monthly. Chrysalis School has a College of Teachers. The College is responsible for educational matters and philosophical and pedagogic impulse of the school. The College ensures that Chrysalis School adheres to and works within the educational indications described by Rudolf Steiner. The work of the College is central to our School’s ethos. An active Parents & Friends Committee provides a forum for parents to support the school and gives an additional avenue for parental involvement. The P and F general meet monthly on the first Monday of the month.

The structure at Chrysalis whilst dissimilar to most independent and state schools fulfils all of the same responsibilities and functions that other schools have. Chrysalis School welcomes involvement and feedback. Chrysalis School aims to work in a transparent and accountable manner; mindfully aware of our School’s place within the tight knit Bellingen community.
