2015 Spring Festival & Living Classroom

Preparations are well underway for the Thora Campus Spring Festival and Living Classroom on Thursday Sept 17th.  Remember life is much too short to miss an opportunity like Maypole dancing in the spring!  As in previous years, we will be offering the Living Classroom from 9.30 am. This is where parents get to experience first-hand what a day in the life of a Chrysalis student entails. Mixed Bean and Fetta Salad

We wanted to share a few recipes from our most excellent Morning Star Lunchbox Recipe Book. Kelley takes long service leave from this week

This week, on Tuesday 1st September after work, Kelley will leave for 6 weeks of long service leave and will return on Monday 12th October. We all wish Kelley a wonderful and thoroughly well deserved LSL.As we seek to cover her work load here, Rowena Parkes will be again be supporting teachers, students and parents in the area of teaching and learning. Welcome to Kendal

We are very pleased to announce that Kendal Marsland, mother of Ethan (Cl 7) & Freya (Cl 5) will be joining the admin team in a casual role. Kendal will be responsible for parts of  the enrolment portfolio while Joanna is away on long service leave.  Kendal and family came to Bellingen in 2011 from Adelaide, where she worked as a project manager on numerous environmental projects and most recently as a sustainability consultant to the Adelaide City Council. To take a historical overview, which would be familiar to many Steiner students from the writing main lesson in Class 4, the Chinese invented the first printing process for text in Ad 600, using wooden blocks and ink. But it didn’t catch on. The fact that 10,000 plus characters were needed, each individually carved, didn’t help.
