“Dreaming with eyes open…”
The Children’s Book Council of Australia Book Week is a fantastic event that promotes the joy reading can bring to young minds!

We have spent one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children’s authors and illustrators. Students were treated to workshops and talks from local authors Fiona MacDonald, Will Douglas and Trish Donald. Dot, our librarian, Class teachers and aides, and most importantly, all the children, have embraced Book Week with colourful costumes, engaging in authors’ visits, a wonderful book stall raising funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and all whilst highlighting the importance of reading and dreaming with eyes open.
