Remote Learning Preparedness

Similar to our Bushfire Preparedness strategy, the school is currently developing our Remote Learning Preparedness, should the need for isolation arise again.

Our staff, students and families showed great flexibility and resilience in adapting to remote learning so quickly in Term 1. There are areas that we can improve on, should we implement remote learning again, including offering assistance to students and families who may require some additional support in accessing learning materials.

Class 6, 7 & 8 students will receive a “practice” home learning session in the classroom.
Two parent workshops will be run to support parents:

  • a daytime workshop will be held at Thora Hall on Friday 11th September from 10am-12 noon
  • an evening workshop will be held at the Bellingen Library on Tuesday 15th from 6-8pm.

COVID restrictions means these workshops will be run one-on-one. Bookings will be essential. Email admin@chrysalis.nsw.edu.au to reserve your spot.

A member of our parent community, who works for NBN Co, will be present at the workshop to provide internet access for the workshop attendees. He will also be available to answer questions about the nbn Education Assistance Package and how it may apply to Chrysalis families.
