Spring Festivals Galore

Morning Star Kindergarten Spring Festival is up first on Wednesday Sept 9th.Preparations are well underway for the Thora Campus Spring Festival in the last week of term on Thursday Sept 17th.  Save the date. Remember life is much too short to miss an opportunity like Maypole dancing in the spring!  As in previous years we will be offering the Living Classroom from 9.30 am. Kelley takes long service leave from this week

This week, on Tuesday 1st September after work, Kelley will leave for 6 weeks of long service leave and will return on Monday 12th October. We all wish Kelley a wonderful and thoroughly well deserved LSL.As we seek to cover her work load here, Rowena Parkes will be again be supporting teachers, students and parents in the area of teaching and learning. Welcome to Kendal

We are very pleased to announce that Kendal Marsland, mother of Ethan (Cl 7) & Freya (Cl 5) will be joining the admin team in a casual role. Kendal will be responsible for parts of  the enrolment portfolio while Joanna is away on long service leave.  Kendal and family came to Bellingen in 2011 from Adelaide, where she worked as a project manager on numerous environmental projects and most recently as a sustainability consultant to the Adelaide City Council. Class Meetings Term 3 2015

The next few weeks are full of meetings. We urge as many parents as possible to attend. The class meetings form a vital bridge between the class teacher and the parent body. They allow parents to get an overview of the term's lessons. They allow an extended conversation around issues of interest to the class and they allow a deepening of the class community. One of the feature Main Lessons of the Chrysalis curriculum is underway in Class 7 this week. The Birthing Main Lesson is a brilliant example of the integrated Steiner Curriculum at it's best. This talk by James Deefholts,  is happening on Tuesday June 9th at Morning Star at 7pm. Although it is intended for parents of Class 6 & 7 students, all interested parents are welcome to attend.Adolescence is often a confusing time as there are many physical and emotional changes which occur in the young human being.
